Overall in very good condition. These sconces have recently been conserved and stabilized by a professional Tiffany restorer. The shield-form shades with 5 visible hairline cracks, all which have been recently stabilized. Three of the small perimeter leaded glass tiles on the shades have recently been replaced with closely corresponding period Tiffany glass (these are not at all visibly identifiable). All of the inset Turtle-Back tiles are original and undisturbed, showing no cracks or condition issues. The Turtle-Back tiles are all beautifully iridized, and when viewed with exterior reflected light display strong luminous color with a range of brilliant jewel-tone hues. The patinated bronze wall mounts with surface wear, rubbing, and with some old scattered losses to the patina consistent with age and use. The rear back plate on one sconce mount and one shade with minor traces of white paint marks. The sconce mounts with replaced screws. The sconces present beautifully in person, displaying a particularly elegant luminous coloration to the shades.
