Under the naked-eye: The painting is overall in relatively satisfactory state of conservation. It has been formerly relined with wax and this was properly done. The painting has also been cleaned during the second half of the twentieth century. Under the UV light : We notice a thick and uniform green varnish, few little retouching in the background and light retouching in the child’s hair, the Virgin’s hair around her neck and a retouching in the chair.
