Sotheby’s freut sich aus einer bemerkenswerten amerikanischen Privatsammlung herausragende Werke des Surrealismus, des Dadaismus und weiterer wichtiger Kunstbewegungen in verschiedenen Auktionen in Amerika und Europa anbieten zu dürfen. Diese Sammlung wurde hauptsächlich in den 1970er und 1980er Jahren mit grosser Kennerschaft aufgebaut. Sie sehen oben Plastiken von David Smith (Abb. oben links) und Julio Gonzáles (Abb. oben rechts) als Beispiele.
