after a model by August Spiess, of baluster form, the body with a frieze depicting musical and theatrical putti in a pastoral landscape, the neck centred with cislée scrolling floral cartouches depicting further putti rising to a flared rim, the two squared handles with laurel swags, fluted spreading foot, with green underglaze Imperial cypher of Alexander II, 9 beneath
Condition
The gilding slightly worn, particularly to the protruding edges and the cislée cartouches, and having been lightly retouched in places. The bowl of the vase with repaired crack and associated retouching. The foot possibly re-attached with associated retouching to the blue paint.
