with two leaf scroll handles and leaf finial, with gilt border between polychrome band of rosettes, stylised flowerheads and foliage on cobalt blue ground, with blue underglaze Imperial cypher of Nicholas I
Condition
Very good condition. The lid slightly ill-fitting. The rim of both bowl and cover re-gilt where they meet, and a small chip in the edge of the foot also re-gilt.
