Description

  • gold, enamel
  • diameter 6.5cm, 2 1/2 in.
the surface enamelled in translucent red over engine-turned reeding interspersed with pellets, the lid applied with a plaque, probably Geneva, depicting a pastoral scene with lovers, the borders of enamelled translucent green leaves and opaque white beads on stippled grounds, further struck O above 8C, possibly control marks

Condition

The red surfaces and some white beads have been re-enamelled to a good standard. The lid resting slightly loose on the base. Otherwise in good order and attractive.
