the lid nielloed with a view of the Bronze Horseman within an oak and acanthus wreath border, the base and sides with St Petersburg waterfront views, the gilt interior with engraved Latin characters, presumably an acronym, forming initials or Roman numeral IV
Condition
Excellent condition, the surface with very light surface scratches consistent with age and handling, the base with very light wear to the niello in two or three places.
