the first, decorated with zigzagging ribs and cabochon sapphire thumbpiece, St. Petersburg, struck with initials for workmaster August Hollming, Fabergé in Cyrillic, 88 standard; the second, rounded rectangular, with cabochon sapphire thumbpiece, Moscow, struck K. Fabergé in Cyrillic with Imperial warrant, 88 standard, scratch number 37345, the interior with an engraved dedicatory inscription to Georgii Birs dated 1916

scattered wear, one small dent to one corner of ribbed case, and scratches from a partial attempt to scratch out dedicatory inscription
