circular, set with a diamond and green stones in a cloverleaf motif, the back engraved with the initial surmounted by a crown with the dates 1878 1896, the back set with a suspension ring for conversion to a pendant, struck with Latin initials AW of an unidentified maker, 56 standard, scratched inventory number 6082, contained in later fitted case

Catalogue Note

The date and crown engraved on the reverse suggest that this may have been a presentation gift to one of the many members of European nobility who attended Nicholas II's Coronation festivities in 1896.
