rounded rectangular, enameled in translucent ice blue over a moiré-patterned engine-turned ground, the hinged cover with diamond-set thumbpiece, struck with workmaster's initials, Fabergé in Cyrillic, 88 standard, and scratched inventory number 22239, as well as Fabergé in Latin characters, London import marks for 1911 and scratched inventory number 23699

Catalogue Note

According to records of Fabergé’s London branch, this case was purchased by a Mr. James Durham in 1912. It was returned in 1913 and the second scratch number, 23699, was added. A second sale to Mr. Vladimir Dindin in 1913 is recorded under the latter number.
