Bright and attractive; overall very good condition; a tiny space between one prong and the gemstone at upper right, the reverse with some slight surface rubbing

Catalogue Note
Major General Leonid Semenovich Rakitin (1878-1962) served in World War I and in the White Army, before evacuating to Yugoslavia in 1920. He emigrated to Paris in 1928. The Novorossisskoe Society of Hunting Enthusiasts was one of Russia's earliest and was famous for the parties and entertainments they organized in Odessa when hunting was out of season.
