Condition

Original canvas, which is also painted on the reverse. There is a layer of surface dirt. The canvas is buckling in places. There are frame abrasions with some associated paint loss along the edges. There are cracks with some associated paint loss to the upper left corner, the lower left corner and along the edges. There is an area of paint shrinkage 10cm below the figure's hand. Inspection under UV reveals minor retouching to the right edge. Held in a wooden frame with canvas slip. Unexamined out of frame.
