Condition
Original canvas. There is tiny hole to the right of the right mast of the steamer. There is a layer of surface dirt. There are frame abrasions along all four edges and minor holes to the top corners. Two wooden strips are attached to the right and left tacking edges. There are some very fine cracks to the areas of impasto. UV light reveals minor retouchings along the right edge as well as an area of possible retouching in the lower left. Held in a silver painted wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
