Condition

Original canvas. The surface is covered with a layer of varnish. Paint loss and flaking in the lower left quadrant and along the lower edge--should be reviewed by a restorer. Craquelure is visible throughout. Under UV pigment fluoresces but varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. Held in a gold painted wood frame. Unexamined out of frame.
