circular base chased with scrolling acanthus and hounds, ship-form stem with arms on the sail, the shell engraved with strapwork, acanthus, winged masks and putti, the hinged mounts with roundels of putti holding a shield, women reading, and women pouring from jugs, a fully-modeled Neptune finial, losses and repairs to shell

Condition

base with some minor dents, ship with several silver ropes missing or broken, shell broken and majority of peices reassembled on wax backing, base and top do not screw together tightly
