of rectangular shape, raised on four silver-gilt scroll feet, the shagreen body overlaid with gold rococo scrolls and foliage, the hinged cover mounted with a domed enamel plaque depicting three figures in a pastoral setting in the manner of Lancret, the interior mirrored, fitted with two green glass bottles, the slip-on gold stoppers with enameled bird finials, also fitted with pen nibs and various other implements

memoire with the last panel broken, losses to enamel on bird finials, shagreen lifting up around the hinges, a few screws missing on gold mounts, wear to fabric interior
