Description

- approximately 3ft. 9in. by 5ft. 2in. (1.14 by 1.57m.), 3ft. 4in. by 3ft. 1in. (1.02 by 0.94m.), 2ft. 11in. by 3ft. 4in. (0.89 by 1.02m.)
comprising a Ziegler Mahal wagireh, Central Persia, a Fereghan wagireh, North Persia, and a Baktiari wagireh, Central Persia.
Condition
Ziegler Mahal: Pile ranges from approximately 1/8th of an inch to low to knotheads in areas of foldwear, mostly vertical. A 3/4in. by 3in. small reweave to lower left side. A small 1in. repaired slit nearby. A 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 in. reweave in field. Missing outer open surround and two knots to border, now secured with a blanket stitch. Sides with some fraying.
Baktiari: Pile generally good, near original, dense, approximately 1/2 in. throughout some areas of low to knothead. A 1in. by 1/2in. reweave in field and a small repaired hole. Lower end with added outer guard stripe and flat-woven finish. Sides overcast.
Fereghan: Pile generally even, approximately 1/6th of an inch overall with some minor foldwear and some partial oxidation to ivories in areas. Some slight color runs. Ends secured with a chain stitch and bound. Sides overcast.
All three supple handle; sound fabric and condition.
