Condition

Beshir: Generally good pile, 1/8in. Scattered areas of foldwear low to knotheads. Originial goat hair wool selvages with some later overcasting. Lower end guard stripes rewoven, upper end intact and secured with binding stitch. Flexible handle, sound condition. Arabatchi: Near original 1/6in. pile overall. Very minor beginnings of foldwear to knotheads in center. Original madder and checked selvages fraying slightly. Some small repairs. Orginal kilim ends. Good condition. Turkmen/Uzbek: Pile ranges from 1/6in. with areas of wear scattered throughout and foldwear areas showing foundation. Scattered repiled foldwear lines. Original polychromes four-chord selvages with some later overcasting. Upper end with original flatwoven end finish with reweaves in upper left corner into guard borders, approximately 10in into the carpet. Lower end guard borders rewoven. Sound fabric and condition.
