Condition

All wool embroidery. Mostly intact with minor abrasions to embroidery. A ground with numerous slits at the peak. A long repaired slit, approx. 10in., in left center. Several repaired holes; 4 crocheted, others more cobbled. A 6in. slit in left border. Scattered stains and discolorations to ground. Applied braided madder wool upper finish with applied madded and indigo tassels and applied madder flatwoven band with twisted fringes to sides and lower end. Will enhance with cleaning and restoration. Unusal caravan motif in design.
