Condition

Ivory field one: Pile generally good, 1/8in, closely shorn. A 3in. by 2in. reweave in top of arch, a 2in. by 2in. reweave in lower end of field with attendant 2in. by 1/4in. repaired slit. Some scattered foldwear low to knot heads and spot foundation; some now repiled. Scattered spot stains. Oringinal two-cord ivory selvages with some later selvage. ends with remnants of flatwoven finishes; now secured with binding stitch. Flexible handle, sound fabric. Red field one: Pile low to knothead overall. Small scattered areas of foldwear showing spot foundaiton. Remnants of original two-cord wool selvages with minor losses and some overcasting. Ends with rewoven end guard stripes. Scattered spot stains, flexible handle, sound fabric and condition.
