Condition

This panel has two minor horizontal splits with small traces of lost paint. The natural movement in the wood has been stabilized by cradling. The paint surface is in good condition, the colours bright and the textures of the birds' wings and feathers crisp. There is craquelure throughout, and two tiny flecks of lost paint on the right hand side. This lot is sold unframed, as shown in the catalogue.
