the chain suspending a polished oval lapis lazuli locket inset with a decorative miniature portrait of the writer, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832), after the painting by Joseph Karl Stieler, the surmount inset with rose diamonds, suspended from foxtail linking set with lapis lazuli beads and rose diamonds, the earrings similarly set, post-fittings, accompanied by several loose lapis lazuli beads
Condition
miniature faded and with some patches of discoloration aroudn edges. Pendant cracked accross. beads on chain matted. earrings need cleaning. comprising also 24 detached beads or segments of lapis.
