Description
- Max Korn
- Leopold I, Prince of Anhalt-Dessau (1676-1747)
- signed and dated Max Korn 1923 lower left
- oil on canvas
- 137.5 by 90.5cm., 54¼ by 35¾in.
Condition
The canvas has not been lined. Ultraviolet light reveals a few small signs of light green fluorescence which would appear to correspond to retouching, notably a small repair in the sky to the right of the figure's hat, in the distant hill near the centre of the extreme left edge, and a slightly discoloured thin vertical line parallel to the left edge in the sky. This work is overall in good original condition and is ready to hang.
Held in a simple gilt and black painted frame.
