Condition
Unexamined out of the frame and under glass. The two interiors are in good fresh condition, with no visible damage. Apart from some drop marks and small scuffs in the sky, the military manoeuvre scene is also overall in good condition. The three watercolours are each in a simple decorative frame, under glass, with a cream-coloured passepartout.

The watercolours commemorate the Silver Wedding Anniversary of T.R.H Prince Ludwig Ferdinand of Bavaria (1854-1949, Doctor of Medicine, General Cavalry Bavarian Army and Inspector General of the Spanish Medical Corps, Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece, Saint George and Saint Hubert of Bavaria. Son of H.R.H Prince Adalbert of Bavaria by his wife H.R.H Doña Amalia de Borbón y Borbón, Infanta of Spain) and his wife H.R.H Doña María de la Paz de Borbón y Borbón, Infanta of Spain (1862-1946, daughter of H.M Queen Isabel II of Spain by the King Consort Don Fransisco de Asis de Borbón y Borbón, Infanta of Spain).
Together with a letter signed by Maria Christina of Austria, wife of King Alfonso XII of Spain, dedicated to Ludwig Ferdinand and María de la Paz, on the occasion of their silver wedding anniversary in 1908, and bearing the arms of Spain and Bavaria.
