modelled as baby mermaids on a seaside shore with bullrush stem, detachable spumey ornamented dishes
Condition
some pieces of leafage at the tops of the bullrush stems missing. Two leaves from bases missing. Collets of detachable dishes (part that fits into bases) with some minor denting. Dishes unmarked, General condition good, marks clear, well modelled

Catalogue Note
Heinrich Friedeberg (1819-1885) was born in St Petersburg, but apprenticed in Berlin. In 1848 he became court jeweller to the Prussian princes, founded the company S. Friedeberg Söhne with his brother in 1850 as court jeweller and gold and silver manufacturer. He was also court jeweller to the Csar of Russia.
