Four screenprints in colors, the first three 1967, the fourth 1969, each signed in pencil, dated and numbered 94/125, 40/125, 40/125 and 149/150, respectively, the first inscribed 'für Frau Eva', the first three from the SP portfolio, the fourth from Six Variants, the first three on Schöllers Hammer Board, the fourth on Arches wove paper, printed and published by Editions Domberger, Stuttgart, the fourth printed at Sirroco Screenprints, New Haven and published by Ives-Stillman, Inc., New Haven, framed (4 prints)

Condition

The prints are in generally good condition, with full margins. The sheets of SP IV, SP XI and SP XII are rippled. At least two edges of SP IV, SP XI and I-6 Va 6 are discolored and/or creased. The surfaces of SP XI and SP XII with an occasional scuff mark. Condition issues particular to individual prints include: SP IV: The imprint from the frame's spacers appears at each edge of the sheet. The left and bottom sheet edges are discolored. In the top left of the sheet, the ink is separating from the board. The verso, with a 10 by 12 inch area of mold, discoloration and damp stain, showing through. I-S Va 4: The sheet is toned by backboard stain showing through. Particularly dark time-stain at the extreme sheet edges with indentations from the frame's spacers. A 2 by 3/4 of an inch damp stain at the bottom sheet edge at center.
