The set comprising 29 lithographs printed in colors, 1969, a collaboration between Pablo Picasso and Marcel Salinas after gouache paintings executed by the artist in the same year, together with Pablo Picasso, Jeune Peintre à son Chevalet (Baer 1919), etching, 1970, signed and dedicated in pencil, Pour Marcel Salinas son ami, Picasso 29.9.70', on wove papers, the portfolio contained within the red portfolio cover, published by Editions Cercle d'Art, the etching framed (30 prints)

Provenance

Gift of Marcel Salinas to the current owner.

Condition

The portfolio sheets are in good condition, with full margins and fresh colors. Twelve prints with unobtrusive creases in the left margin. Eight prints with minor discoloration on the verso. The etching is in good condition and the margins are full. Discoloration along the sheet edges comprises unobtrusive foxing at bottom and time-stain at the extreme left, top and right. Additional imperfections to individual plates of the portfolio are as follows: Unevenly applied ink to the top sheet edge at the left of the plate dated 27-3-69 IV. A 1 by 1 inch area of surface soiling to the left of the figure's face in the plate dated 30-1-69. Time-stain at the extreme sheet edges of the plates dated 30-3-69, 5-6-69 and 24-4-69 with Stray ink in the margins of the plates dated 21-2-69, 6-2-69 and 27-2-69. A 1/4 inch tear in the top sheet edge at right of the plate dated 9-3-69.
