Condition

The prints are in good condition, with full margins except for Les Saltimbanques (B. 5), which has been trimmed. The majority of the prints have a window of inconspicuous pale light-stain around the image, unobtrusive time-stain in the extreme sheet edges and surface soiling toward the periphery of the sheet. Soft handling creases, only visible in raking light, appear in half of the prints. The verso of most prints, with between 2 and 5 hinge remnants, minor surface soiling and occasional stray ink. Additional imperfections include: Buste d'Homme (B. 4) and Salomé (B. 14): Flecks of fibrous discoloration surrounded by artificially whitened areas (foxing aggressively conserved with peroxide (?)) throughout. The left edge of Les Deux Saltimbanques (B. 5) trimmed by 7/8 of an inch.
