Etching printed in olive green, 1903, a rare first state (of two), signed in pencil, inscribed Ier Etat, an unrecorded olive green variant (G./P. only cites a few first state impressions printed in black), on wove paper 

Condition

With wide margins, in good condition apart from pale paper discoloration mainly towards edges of sheet, three vertical repaired tears at lower sheet edge (the largest measuring approx. 2cm), two small horizontal tears at right sheet edge verso (the largest measuring 1cm), there minute horizontal repaired tears at right sheet edge verso (the largest measuring 1cm). (Faint inscriptions visible in margin).
