Catalogue Note

Ex coll. Henri Petiet (not in Lugt)

During 1896, Miss May Belfort, a British singer portrayed by Toulouse-Lautrec on multiple occasions, used this lithograph as a Christmas card.  Three of the five known impressions are signed and dated by Miss Belfort.

According to Wittrock, there are three impressions of this extremely rare print in private collections.
