Engraving, circa 1501, a fine Meder b-c impression, printing with contrast and clarity, on paper with a High Crown watermark (M. 20)

Condition

Trimmed to or on the platemark, just within below, a circa 7cm vertical repaired tear in the sky at upper left, a circa 4cm horizontal repaired tear through the main tree branches, further repairs below the castle in the rocks, on the horse's back, and at the corners, a central horizontal fold with associated repairs (mainly visible verso), other small repairs and minor defects, the lower borderline strengthened with pen and ink in places, supported on a thin sheet of Japan paper, unframed.
