Two engravings, 1511-19, Holl. 13 from The Engraved Passion, fairly early and Meder b-c impressions respectively

Condition

Holl. 13 with thread margins in places, trimmed on or just within the platemark elsewhere, remargined in places, a pale brown stain on Christ's loin cloth, a 2mm diagonal repaired tear at right of lower edge, a nick at tip of upper right corner, two horizontal folds (mainly visible verso), unframed. Holl. 89 trimmed just outside or to the borderline, the borderline strengthened with touches of pen and ink, a thin area just above the back of the woman's headscarf, a tiny fox mark above the man's hair, a 4mm diagonal repaired tear at centre of right edge (in the shading), stray ink above the man's hair and at upper left corner, thin areas at sheet edges (mainly visible verso), pale paper discoloration, otherwise in good condition, unframed.
