Gift of the photographer to the present owner, 1970s, when students together at the Rhode Island School of Design

Condition

This early print, on single-weight paper with a surface sheen, and somewhat unevenly trimmed to the image, is in generally very good condition. There is some slight edge wear, and in raking light, tiny vertical indentations are visible near the lower left edge. There is very faint age-darkening at the periphery on the reverse. The accompanying postcard from Francesca Woodman to her classmate reads: 'Cyndie, Please don't think I have forsaken you! Hope your plum pudding ma__(unintelligible) was plump. I am spending my vacation on the sofa in Boulder. Right before I left Providence they printed out the slogans on Allaries. It's under new ownership in fact N. Main St. is getting very RITSY except for the RISD contingent. I wonder about you. If you are in N. Y. I can come up and join you Dec. 29-Jan. 7. Francesca, 109 N. Main, Providence'
