Condition

These 8 photographs are in generally excellent condition. In raking light, faint silvering at the edges and in the dark areas is visible. The margin edges and corners of some prints are creased and show signs of light wear. 'Frank Luke, Jr., Capitol Grounds, Phoenix, Arizona,1974' - There is a small tear in the left margin, and the top paper-ply is lifting slightly. On the reverse, '150-16' and '5' are annotated in pencil. The date stamp is '1976.' 'Brooklyn, 1974' - On the reverse, '166-17' and '203' are annotated in pencil. The date stamp is '1976.' 'Wash D. C., 1973' - On the reverse, '147-2' and '63' are annotated in pencil. The date stamp is '1976.' 'Phoenix, 1975' - A few translucent deposits, concentrated primarily in the right portion of the image, are visible in raking light. The reverse is lightly soiled and '218-18' is annotated in pencil. The date stamp is '1976.' 'Wash D. C., 1976' - The reverse is slightly soiled and '203-20' is annotated in pencil. The date stamp is '1976.' 'To the Children of North Dakota, Theodore Roosevelt Park, Minot, N. D.,1972' - The right margin is slightly rippled. On the reverse, '107-27' is annotated in pencil. The date stamp is '1976.' 'Maryland, 1973' - The title, date, and annotations 'Plate 128' and '115-2' are written in an unidentified hand in pencil on the reverse. The date stamp is '1978.' On the reverse are a few deposits of unidentified nature. 'Houston, 1977' - The title, date, and annotation '369-29' are written in an unidentified hand in pencil on the reverse. The date stamp is '1980.' The navy cloth slipcase is scuffed and stained, with wear to the edges and corners. The outer case is faded.
