Condition

This photograph, on double-weight paper with a surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. As is typical of Brandt's early printing, extensive retouching and handwork is visible upon close examination. This print has very thin margins along the upper, left and right edges, and an approximately one-inch margin along the lower edge. The numbers '4' [crossed out] and '11' are written in ink in the lower margin. The reverse of the print is lightly soiled at the edges. On the reverse of the print are the following: 'August 1951,' 'Photo 11,' and 'August 1951' [crossed out] in ink; 'lumiere' in pencil; and 2 credit and studio stamps. When examined under ultraviolet light, this print does not appear to fluoresce.
