Condition

This photograph is printed on semi-glossy paper and is on a large, thick, buff card mount. Its presentation, on this style of mount and with a typed caption label affixed, suggests that it was made close to the time of the negative for exhibition purposes. The print is essentially in excellent condition. Faint silvering and minimal superficial surface scratches are visible only upon extremely close inspection. The buff-colored card mount is typical of Weston's prints made during this period. The mount is clean, but ever-so-slightly sunned at the print's periphery. Small, thin tidelines are visible along the right edge of the mount. The reverse of the mount is darkened where the print and typed label are affixed on the front. Also on the reverse are the following: the numbers '2,' '3,' '4' [each circled], and '#134' in an unidentified hand in pencil; and minor soiling from handling.
