Condition

This photograph, on double-weight paper with a slight sheen and eggshell texture, is in generally excellent condition. Silvering is visible in the black margins. Upon extremely close inspection in raking light, 2 small raised areas are visible in the upper left quadrant. The black margin edges and corners are lightly worn. The upper left margin corner is creased. The reverse of the print is slightly age-darkened at its periphery. On the reverse of the print, the following information is written in pencil and ink: 'Doorway: Tredwell House (Old Merchant House)' '29 East 4th Street, Manhattan' 'Neg 147 Code I. A. 1.' '7/16/36'
