Condition

This photograph, on double-weight paper with a slight texture and sheen, is in generally excellent condition. The print has irregular white margins, and there is a small clamp impression in the upper right margin corner. The reverse of the print is slightly age-darkened at its periphery. On the reverse of the print, the 'Changing New York' caption stamp is annotated in pencil with the following information: Title: 'Hester Street' Place: 'Between Allen and Orchard Streets, Manhattan' Neg. # 'L-2' Code: 'III.B.1' Date: 'May 3, 1938'
