- LILY ROGERS FIELDS AND LILLIAN FIELDS, HALE COUNTY, ALABAMA
mounted, the Lunn Gallery stamp and with credit and annotations in pencil on the reverse, framed, 1936, possibly printed in the 1950s (F. S. A. 330)
Condition
This somewhat warm-toned print trimmed to the image and mounted to a trimmed, thin buff-colored mount, is in generally very good condition. There is a scratch in the right portion of the image that does appear to break the emulsion. In raking light, silvering in the dark areas is visible. There is wear to the edges and corners, with some attendant chipping that is only visible upon close examination.
On the reverse of the mount, the Lunn Gallery stamp is annotated '111' and '330.' The following annotations are written on the reverse in an unidentified hand in pencil: 'Evans,' '#432,' 'L-8,' 'R1828,' and 'WE175.'
When examined under ultraviolet light, this print appears to fluoresce somewhat.
