Condition

This lifetime print, flush-mounted to slick white board, is in generally excellent condition. In raking light, the following are visible: a long, soft crease in the left portion; a small raised area in the lower right portion, likely a particle trapped between the print and mount; and occasional pin-point-sized deposits and impressions, which do not appear to break the emulsion. While visible upon close examination, these do not in any way detract from the fine appearance of this print. The print is lifting from the mount at the lower right edge and the margin corners are creased and worn. The reverse of the mount is inscribed with the Arbus Estate authentication number, #1131-35-151114,' and the copyright stamp is dated '62' in ink. In addition to gallery inventory numbers, the following annotations are written in an unidentified hand in pencil or ink: 'DAR 0020,' '#527,' 'DIANE ARBUS,' '19 [circled].' The reverse of the mount is creased at the lower left corner and shows signs of handling.
