Condition

The canvas has not been lined. There is a faint, fine pattern of hairline craquelure. Ultra-violet light reveals notably: thin strokes of retouching to a circa 4 by 6cm repaired tear in the upper-left of the sky (faintly visible to the naked eye); some thin strokes addressing a faint stretcher mark parallel to the upper horizontal edge; and some minor strokes towards the upper-right corner and small spots in the boat at the dock near the foreground. This work is in good overall condition and ready to hang. Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
