Two links missing, small dent to panel that forms clasp, marked in two places, very nice colour, genereally in good condition overall

Catalogue Note
Le décor de chérubins confirmerait l'hypothèse selon laquelle ces ceintures étaient un cadeau de noce de la part du jeune marié à sa femme. L'anneau de suspension pouvait être utilisé pour accrocher toute sorte d'objets comme une pomme de senteur, une montre, ou bien un nécessaire.
The cherub ornament would substatiate the belief that girdles were a wedding gift from a newly married husband to his wife. The pendant loop on the right could be used for various attachments including purse, sweet smelling pomander, watch, etui for knife etc. or even keys
