Condition

Each is on a single sheet of laid paper. the gouache is thickly applied and colors are quite fresh. however, in places the surface is disturbed where areas of the gouache have come off and have been retouched. this is more evident in the picture depicting Cumae (illus. on top in the printed catalogue) and is mostly in the sky along the top and at right edge. the gouache of the Via Appia is better intact and the retouching is only along the extreme right edge.
