Canvas has an old reliving. Picture has an old streaky varnish covering the entire canvas which under uv appears milky and discolored. Broad retouches are visible though above and beneath the varnish. These retouches are scattered throughout the composition in generalized patches, notably in the golden cape of Zeus, in the background, around the borders, and in the back of the reclining female figure. A revaluation of the retouches as well as a fresh varnish would improve the picture. In a carved gilt wood frame.
