Condition

The panel is an oval shape and uncradled, flat and stable. under s dirty and discolored old varnish. there is overall very good retention of the paint surface with well preserved, thick impasto. an old discolored retouch can be seen in background to left of her head. under UV light: there are tiny dots of retouching on nose and mouth; others can be seen on white headdress and some retouching along a vertical crack lower right in blue cloak and hand lower center. some of these are visible to naked eye when viewed closely. painting would benefit from a light cleaning and freshening of some of the old retouches which should improve overall appearance and bring out the beautiful surface. In a carved and gilt wood frame with some minor nicks.
