- Gouache,
inscribed on the original black border: Eruzione di Cenere del'1810.
Condition
Slight trace of discoloration from previous mounting. Color overall strong. Some abrasions on the sky to the left and small tiny water spots lower left, some tiny spots in the sky upper left, possibly touched up. Some traces of glue all around the black margin. One glue spot also going over painted section near the end of the slope of the Vesuvious lower left. Foxing is visible on the verso but it has not affected the gouache.
