Description

  • Bernhard Keil, called Monsù Bernardo
  • Portrait of a boy in a hat
  • oil on canvas

Condition

The canvas has a firm relining that has marginally flattened the paint surface. There is one area of uneven canvas just above the raised hand of the boy. No major damages are visible. Inspection under UV is very difficult, the varnish fluoresces in a milky, opaque manner. There is perhaps a small degree of localised retouchings in the dark background but it is hard to see. In overall fair condition.
