Condition
The painting has an old and stable relining, and the paint surface is secure. The varnish is clear and even with no damages visible to the naked eye. Inspection under UV light reveals two campaigns of restoration. An early one focusing entirely on minimilising the effect of the craquelure, and a later campaign of strengthenings in the darker tones, the ladies décolletage, the dark tones of the fur, and some localised patches in the background. In fair overall condition.
