- Study of a boy, bust-length, wearing a red cap
- oil on panel, unframed
Condition
The panel is supported by two horizontal wooden batons affixed to the reverse. The paint surface is dirty and covered by a thick milky varnish. There are several fine vertical lines of cracked paint running down the centre. Restoration consists of old restrengthenings throughout, particularly in the centre of the boy's cap and to his neck, and repainting of the upper left corner around the knot in the wood.
