Condition

The panel is flat and stable. The paint surface has suffered several small knocks, all but two of which are beneath the frame. A scratch through the sitter's right eye and small knocks to her cheek and below jaw have been restored. Otherwise just tiny scattered retouchings of lost paint. Details of lace and jewellery are well-preserved.
